Man injured in bear attack in Tanahun

TANAHUN May 18: A man was injured in a bear attack in Vyas Municipality of Tanahun district. The injured is 35 years old Gore BK of Vyas-8, Malpaure.

On Thursday morning, at 5, BK caught the bear eating corn in the field near his house and tried to chase it away, getting mauled in the process. The bear ran away after the attack. BK was immediately rescued by the locals of the area and taken to a health post in Risti. 

According to the District Police Office, the victim was later taken to Damauli Hospital for further treatment. The bear attack left BK with a wound above his right eye.
