Basnet brace inspires Satdobato win in B-Division League

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Prabesh Basnet scored a brace to help Satdobato Youth Club upstage NayaBasti Youth Club 2-0 in the ongoing Martyr's Memorial B Division League being held in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

In a match played at Satdobato’s All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) complex, Basnet scored twice in the second half to secure the win after the first half ended on 0-0 stalemate.

Basnet registered goals in the 59th and 82nd minutes. In the second match of the day, Anish Chaudhary scored a late equalizer to help Jhamsikhel Youth Club earn a 1-1 draw against Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT).

The six time A-Division champion RCT took an early lead in the 28th minute of the match as skipper Amar Dangol imprinted his name on the score-sheet.

However, RCT lost concentration in the injury time conceding a late goal against Jhamsikhel.
