Balen Shah leads KMC mayor race with 6,486 votes (update)

KATHMANDU, May 16: Independent candidate for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Shah 'Balen' has maintained his lead in the ongoing vote counting. According to the latest details, he has received 6,486 votes.

Meanwhile, Keshav Sthapit of UML is following Shah with 3,413 votes and Nepali Congress leader Srijana Singh, who is contesting from the ruling alliance, has secured 3,009 votes.
