Balen Shah leading his nearest rival Sthapit by almost double votes

KATHMANDU, May 15: Independent candidate for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Shah 'Balen' has maintained his lead by almost double votes as a total of 12,000 votes counted till 9 PM.

KATHMANDU, May 15: Independent candidate for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Shah 'Balen' has maintained his lead by almost double votes as a total of 12,000 votes counted till 9 PM.

According to the latest details, he has received 4,259 votes.


CPN-UML's mayoral candidate Keshav Sthapit is following Shah with 2,237 votes and Nepali Congress leader Srijana Singh, who is contesting from the ruling alliance, has secured 2,018 votes.
