Baglung Gold Cup Football Championship next month

Baglung, Dec 19: The Baglung Gold Cup Football Championship – 2073 will be held from January 14 to 18 next year at the Bangechaur field in Baglung. 

The Daliya Youth Network, Baglung is organizing the football tournament coinciding with the occasion of Maghe Sankranti. 

In the tournament, the winning team will take home Rs 100,000 in cash prize while the first runner-up will be rewarded Rs 50,000. The best performing player and the highest scorer will receive Rs 10,000 each. The best goal keeper, defence, mid field, forward and coach will receive Rs 5,000 each. 

Youth Network Chairman, Raj Kumar Bose, said they have estimated the cost of organizing the tournament at around Rs 1.1 million. "We are organizing the tournament as football activities have dimmed in Baglung," Bose shared. RSS
