GORKHA, May 13: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai has cast his vote at a polling center in Palungtar Municipality-1. After casting his vote, Bhattarai took a photo of himself with a swastika stamp and posted it on social media. Contrary to the election code of conduct, photos that could affect voters cannot be made public. However, Bhattarai said that he did nothing wrong by making the photo public.
Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha also reached a polling station in Siranchowk Rural Municipality -8 to cast his vote.
LIkewise, Nepal Family Party Chairman Eknath Dhakal reached a polling center in Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-8 to cast his vote in the local polls.
After casting his vote, Dhakal said he was hopeful that local elections would strengthen democracy and accelerate development. Central members of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN-UML in Gorkha have also cast their votes in their respective areas of the district.
