KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Autopsies of those who lost their lives in the Air Dynasty's helicopter with registration number 9N-AJD on Wednesday will be conducted today. 


According to sources at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, the autopsies will be completed today and the bodies will be handed over to the relatives and relevant authorities on the same day.

On Wednesday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and the Search and Rescue Coordination Center had collected the dead bodies from the crash site. They are now kept at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for autopsy and other procedures.


The victims of the accident include Pilot Arun Mall and four Chinese nationals– 38-year-old Jutad Tang, 36-year-old Jie Li, 41-year-old Zeming Xie, and 31-year-old Yiyad Wu.


According to Gyanendra Bhul, Information Officer at the CAAN, the helicopter that took off for Syafrubesi in Rasuwa at 1:54 PM on Wednesday lost contact with the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) three minutes later.


A team of security personnel was mobilized for search and rescue as soon as information was received that a helicopter had crashed in Shivapuri rural municipality-7 Suryachaur area of ​​Nuwakot.
