NAUBISE, Feb 20: The vital road along Nagdhunga, which serves as the main passage to the capital, is full of cracks and potholes although it was repaired just four months ago during the last Dashain festival. It is being repaired once again after complaints from the commuters. In the view of the upcoming monsoon, the authorities have expedited the repair works. The highway is among the busiest roads in the country with hundreds of light and heavy vehicles and passenger buses passing through everyday.
DHADING, Feb 16: Women from Damgade Batase-12, Nilkantha Municipality of Dhading have started group mushroom farming through cooperatives to generate income. The group's first harvest of mushroom has already found buyers in the district.

DHADING, Jan 18: On Friday, it was the rice feeding ceremony of the six-month old youngest son of Binaya Lamichhane and Jamuna Regmi Lamichhane. The Lamichhane couple - locals of Thankot, Chandragiri Municipality of Kathmandu - had another son, aged two. The two children are missing after the couple attempted suicide along with them on Thursday evening by diving into the Trishuli River at Benighat area of Dhading district. While Jamuna's dead body has been recovered, Binaya was saved by the locals.
DHADING, Jan 9: Construction materials are left scattered around the premises. The building has been raised to three floors for now while the wall of the ground floor is covered with algae. This is the condition of the building of Nepal Telecom (NT) in Shanti Bazaar of Dhading which began construction six years ago.
DHADING, Dec 28: The devastating 2015 earthquake destroyed the house of 38-year-old Sita Pariyar of Shamaidanda Gujuri rural municipality-7. Later on, a three-room house was rebuilt with the help of government aid. However, only Rs 300 thousand was not enough.
DHADING, Dec 15: Tek Bahadur Parajuli, 69, of Gajuri Rural Municipality-7, is bedridden due to some childhood illness that gradually turned worse and made him unable to walk. His wife takes care of him. Because of the disability, he has been unable to earn for himself. Bihani Project, in coordination with the rural municipality, has provided him with two goats as a means for income generation.
DHADING, Nov 6: The construction of the Dharke–Sitapaila road, an alternative to the Naubise–Nagdhunga block, has come to a standstill as the main contractor has gone out of contact. The project kicked off two years ago amid the pressure to avoid the heavy traffic jam on the Naubise road.
DHADING, Nov 3: Farmers in Dhading district, after suffering losses in poultry, have turned to quail (battai) farming. They find it easier to rear quail for both eggs and meat, and they are relieved from selling to the middleman.
