“Giving our best each day with whatever we have and however we can is all based on the decisions we make,” this was said by one of my friends when I was confused on how things should be done. I had thirty different things to finish in a day and the time seemed shorter. Since then I have this habit of rewinding the 24 hours spent and analyzing if things could have been done in a better way.

It is so strange how the entire generation is associated with so many people whom they have never met nor heard. The bond and link of the newer lot is automatically less with the older age bracket as the family expands.

We are living in the era where people have started thinking rationally; we have modernized not with technologies, but with our thoughts too.

Many of us in this age have forgotten what our priorities are and how important it is for us to spend time around our family. We don’t realize how the time is transient and how we don’t get much time to connect with the people we meet in life.

Love relationships are of various types; some give us what we are looking for, some change our prospect of what being together is, some last longer than we think and some end abruptly.

What I have realized is there is always so much to learn from a situation, a person, and even from the hardest of times. Difficult days mend a person to be stronger.

Communication has become easy with time; messages go from one country to another with a click, information can be read online and billions of people get connected every day. It is amazing how different questions are answered in no time and how internet has become an inevitable part of our life.

Being in love, falling for someone deeply and madly, doing crazy things that you had never imagined you would, the connection, chemistry, charisma, goose bumps and long conversation when you are getting to know each other, the first hug and first kiss are etched in our hearts forever.

Are there ground rules when you start a relationship? Are those rules different for each relationship? How about the rule when you are already in one? Each person that you are with is diverse, and the likes and opinions of each vary. The course of any relationship depends on the couple’s nature, understanding, compatibility and the way they complement each other. Some relations mature as the years pass, which makes the bond stronger and the relationship more powerful.

It’s been four years since I have been writing. It started with penning down my feelings in a diary which created a domain for my world. It has been a great ride and I have loved writing since then. It helps me express, emote my thoughts and feelings. There is nothing better than words so I would suggest everyone to get in the practice of writing. I have explored writing on random topics, about conversations that I have with a friend, about things that I bypass every day, about places that I have visited and every minute detail of my experience.

In this journey called life, we go through various situations, times and circumstances. We hardly embrace the glorious mess that we are. We barely think about the strength that we have had during the most difficult times in our lives. We need to remember that life’s great lessons are usually learnt at the worst times and with the worst mistakes. We are so busy in our everyday schedule that we do not have the time to recap the way we have spent the number of years of our life. When we start summing up the timeline, we are able to connect the dots and realize that everything that has happened in our life has happened for a reason.

Lately, I have been asked a lot about my career change. These are the people I have met for the first time, some I have known for a few hours. The very certain question is “After achieving a Chartered Accountancy degree, which is lot of hard work, why did you switch your stream?

I have been hearing a lot of discourse between family members and listening to the Bhagavad Gita; because of this, I have been learning a lot and have been enlightened every day. These discussions try to provide answers to the questions that I have been enquiring about life and death. They also answer questions about the structure of the universe that connects individuals and their disconnection in the end. Why does God call all the good people so soon? What is the ultimate goal of a human? How the body that we are living is not ours and how the soul stays eternal which takes form in different bodies? How is one eligible for Mokshya in their life and why does something like this happen to a person who is composed, and has always been a part of good Karma? Why do we believe that life is in our hands, while we are mere puppets?

Each moment there is some or the other thought that keeps going on in each one of our minds. We think of many things within during 24 hours of a day. In the middle of our hectic schedule, we are always in a rush hardly have time to concentrate on one thought at one point in time. To think about it, our mind is a multi-tasker. Multi-tasking is an important skill and at the same time it gives an emotional high.

As I entered a café during the weekend, my eyes led me to a quote: “It’s not about ‘having’ time. It’s about ‘making’ time”. This quote made me think about many of us who don’t value time. Some procrastinate at work and leave it for latter moment in life and some fail on time management. This delays tasks and the imagined deadline for a particular work keeps elongating.

We have experienced many movie marathons in our lifetime. It could be in our home studios, laptops, or going for morning shows during college days when the tickets are cheap. We have been annoyed, irritated and snapped the other person for not having a proper manner. I went for a movie and experienced all of the above.

Do you believe in future telling, palm reading, and tarot cards? Has this topic ever interested you? Most of our answers will be no when asked for the first time, yet there are many of us who visit priests to inquire about our future. One of the reasons that we go to the priests could be due to family pressure.

How do you think the number of likes increases for a user on a Facebook page? Why are people so happy if the likes on their shared photographs crosses hundred and fifty or so? What makes you like a status or a post? In which frame of thought does one actually click the like button? I have had this question to myself for long and here are a few answers, as per my experience:
