PALPA, April 27: April 25, 2015 is recorded as one of the worst memories in the living history of Nepal. People living in various parts of the country saw their houses crumble down to rubble and their loved ones crying from underneath the debris. It has already been three years but sadly, not even a single quake-damaged house has been completely reconstructed in Palpa.
PALPA, Mar 3: Two people including driver were killed and five others sustained injuries after a jeep met with an accident at Birpokhara of Tansen Municipality-12 in the district on Saturday afternoon.
Left Alliance is leading in Palpa up to 30 percent votes has been counted. In Palpa-1, Dal Bahadur Rana secured 7740 votes where as his rival candidate from Nepali Congress, Bijayraj Ghimire obtained 3069 votes.

PALPA, Oct 7: It is one of the busiest roads in the central region. Thousands of passengers travel through it every day. However, a road section along the Prithivi Highway has literally changed into a death trap since the last few days. Landslides have not stopped falling down the road while public and private vehicles are seen moving at snail pace. Police personals have been constantly monitoring the section while providing safety alerts to drivers.
PALPA, August 24: The only medical college in Palpa that distributed the safe motherhood allowance to new mothers has stopped doing so. Lumbini Medical College has stopped providing the allowance to new mothers since a month stating that it pulled out of the agreement with the government because it was bearing loss.
PALPA, August 23: As many as 20,811 new voters have been registered with the Election Commission (EC) in Palpa district alone during the election body's nationwide biometric voter registration campaign from July 16 to August 19.
PALPA, August 22: There are around 500,000 differently-abled people in Nepal, as per the National Population Census 2067 BS. According to the Health Ministry’s data, an additional 4,440 faced different forms of disability after the devastating 2015 Gorkha Earthquake.
PALPA, August 5: Four patients of Palpa who were referred to Kathmandu for treatment have died. One of the patients is said to have died of swine flu while the reason behind the deaths of other three is not yet known.
PALPA, Aug 1: The local body offices are yet to get staff though it has already been a month since the local polls were held in Palpa. The District Treasury Controller Office had already sent the required budget to the local bodies including the salaries and allowance of the local body staff on July 2.
PALPA, JULY 31: Kali Gandaki Eye Care Center (KGECC), a community-based organization in Rampur of Palpa district, has provided free eye checkup and treatment to more than 5,000 people in fiscal year 2016/17.
