GORKHA, May 9: The Driver, identified as Santosh Sapkota, 27, of Belkotgadi municipality-5 was killed when a tipper(Ba 4 Kha 9506) plunged some 200 meters from the road to Budhigandaki river at Gandaki rural municipality, Benighat-8, Chiurigaunda of Gorkha last night.

GORKHA, April 27: As April 25, 2016, marked two years of the deadly Gorkha earthquake, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari reached Barpak, the epicenter, to lay the foundation stone for an earthquake memorial park. As per the plan, 28 quake-damaged houses of a dalit community would be conserved in the park along with the debris. The whole intention was to allow tourists to observe and revisit the situation of earthquake. But that has not been possible till now due to the differences in opinion of locals.

He sometimes asked her what happened but she used to say she was fine. However, after 40 years, he found out from neighbors that his wife was actually suffering from uterine prolapse. GORKHA, March 16: An unmarried mute woman of Arughat Rural Municipality-10 gave birth to a daughter on February 27.  As she is unable to speak, she is finding it difficult to convince the locals about the legitimate father of her child since the person with whom she had physical relationship denies it. GORKHA, Feb 8: Chumnubri Rural Municipality in northern part of Gorkha district bordering Tibet remains isolated from the rest of the district in lack of road networks. Despite repeated calls, locals had failed to draw attention of the government in the past.
