Kathmandu, Oct 21: Nepal is making preparations for the prospective visit of Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has said.
Suu Kyi expressed her interest to visit Nepal at a meeting with Nepali President Bidya Devi Bhandari in Myanmar, according to FM Gyawali who accompanied the president during the visit.

"Suu Kyi said she was keen to visit the country in Nepal's bid to promote 'Visit Nepal 2020'. Therefore, we are making preparations for the same," Gyawali told reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival on Monday without divulging the specific details regarding the visit.
The foreign minister observed that the presidential visit to the Southeast Asian country was successful to deepen bilateral ties between Nepal and Myanmar.
President Bhandari had paid a state visit to Myanmar from October 16 to 20.
Nepal and Myanmar signed two bilateral agreements on cooperation in the field of tourism and culture in the course of the visit.
