KATHMANDU, March 21: Newly-appointed Attorney General Ramesh Badal on Sunday took the oath of office and secrecy from Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR.
A swearing-in ceremony was held at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas in the presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, , Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun and other dignitaries.

Badal was appointed as the Attorney General after Agni Kharel resigned from the post last week.
The Attorney General acts as the legal advisor to the Prime Minister and the government.
