At least two killed in seven-vehicle crash in Dhunibesi

The accident occurred at around 4 pm after a lorry rammed into a school bus. Inspector Shyam Kumar Basnet told Republica that preliminary findings indicate the lorry suffered brake failure before crashing into the bus.

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: At least two people were killed and several others injured when seven vehicles were involved in a major collision at Dhunibesi in Dhading on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Dhading District Police, the accident occurred at around 4 pm after a lorry rammed into a school bus. Inspector Shyam Kumar Basnet told Republica that preliminary findings indicate the lorry suffered brake failure before crashing into the bus.


Two public transport vehicles, another truck, a motorcycle, and a vehicle bearing an Indian number plate were also caught up in the pile-up. Police said the identities of the deceased and the exact number of injured are yet to be confirmed as rescue and investigation efforts continue.
