Celebrating the World Environment Day 2019, Hotel Annapurna organized its annual art completion at the hotel’s premises on Saturday. The theme of the competition was “Beat Air Pollution”.

The participants were placed in groups according to their age. The groups included 5-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-15 years.

From 5-8 age groups, Aarav Bhandari grabbed the first position while Pushpanjali Paudel and Aarav Bashyal were second and third respectively. Likewise, Samikchhya Raut and Anisha Thapa topped their respectivr age category: 9-12 years and 12-15 years.

“Being a part of this friendly competition will enable the participants to express themselves through art and share their share their experiences and ideas in helping to make the world clean, green and bright,” a press statement issued by the hotel reads.

Hotel Annapurna has been organizing this competition on a yearly basis since 2000, providing a platform where the hotel employees’ children can gather and demonstrate their understanding of the environment through the illustrations.

The hotel will also be organizing a cleaning program on June 5, where the employees will gather to clean the areas from Kantipath and Bhrikuti Mandap.
