Around 40 students injured as roof of private school collapsed in capital

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: Around 40 students sustained injuries when the roof of a private school caved in at Tarakeswor municipality in the capital on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: Around 40 students sustained injuries when the roof of a private school caved in at Tarakeswor municipality in the capital on Wednesday.


The incident took place at Bidhyakunja Secondary School when the students were attending their classes in the afternoon.

The injured students were rescued immediately and rushed to Basundhara-based Green City Hospital, according to the chief of Metropolitan Crime Range Kathmandu Uttam Raj Subedi.


"The students have suffered minor injuries when the roof truss collapsed during their class time," Subedi told Republica Online. The police have launched a probe into the incident.
