LAMJUNG, Feb 28: More than 600 rural folks benefited from a health camp run by the Nepal Army (NA).
NA's Pashupati Prasad Battalion set up a free health camp at rural Ghermu village – located in the northern part of Lamjung district – with an aim to close the gap in its relations with the members of general public.

The camp provided cost-free treatment for arthritis, women's disease, skin, nose, ears, dental and eye check-ups.
A nine-member team of doctors including a specialist provided the treatment and prescribed necessary medicines. The local villagers, who have been deprived of regular health services, were elated to find the NA team in their village. "We thought the army only carries gun, but it also provides services in a rural village like that of ours," 90 – year – old Durga Devi Gurung shared.
NA Pashupati Prasad Battalion's Battalion Commander, Subhangad Katuwal, said the health camp was being run with an aim to provide health services to the local residents of rural sector and broaden the relations between the civilians and the army.
The Rotary Club of Narayani Mid Town, Maula Kalika Hospital – based in Chitwan and District Public Health Office (DPHO), Lamjung extended their support to set up the free health camp. RSS
