PM Oli invites FDIs, ensures safety and profit for investors

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli stated that Nepal was committed to bring visible changes in the country by fostering bilateral economic engagements with India. He added that the government would leave no stones unturned to safeguard foreign investments as it would be instrumental to help Nepal graduate into middle income country by 2030.

Nepal monitors borders in wake of bird flu outbreak in India

A technical meeting in Chitwan decided to keep districts adjoining India on high alert after bird flu outbreak in Indian border.  As precautionary measure, the district has also banned supply of poultry items from India.

NRA spends Rs 101 billion in post-earthquake reconstruction

Post earthquake, the National Reconstruction Authority has spent Rs. 101 billion to construct 113,000 homes; 7,553 schools and 100 cultural heritage sites so far. The NRA added that while reconstruction was taking place across the 32 districts, it wasn’t able to provide Rs. 300,000 to earthquake victims due to shortage of money.
