KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Kathmandu on Monday announced the opening of applications for Chevening Scholarships for the year 2018/2019. According to a press statement issued by the embassy on Monday, the applications are open till November 7 and can be submitted via www.chevening.org/apply.

Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds.
The scholarship offers full financial support for future leaders to study any eligible master's degree at any UK university whilst gaining access to a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural events. 

"The UK is home to many of the world's best universities, and Chevening enables you to develop academically, professionally, and personally whilst studying in the UK.

The Scholarships are awarded to exceptional individuals with leadership potential and we will welcome your application," the statement  quoted UK ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris as saying.
