POKHARA, Oct 17: The number of candidates applying for the posts of temporary police for upcoming parliamentary elections has doubled the number of vacancies announced.
As many as 642 applicants applied for the vacancies by Monday evening alone, said DSP Khadga Bahadur Khatri. Vacancies of 1,000 temporary police had been announced for Parliamentary and Provincial elections to be held in two phases – on November 26 and December 7.

The selection process will begin from October 22.
Those applying for the temporary police are 2, 147 men and 495 women. Tenth graders to master’s degree holders have applied for the vacancies.
