Apollo Information Center is expected to provide all kinds of information regarding the treatment and services like health check bookings, telemedical consultation, travel assistance, airport transfers, accommodation assistance for patients and companions including SIM cards.
The information center was launched by Minister of Health and Population Shanta Bahadur Shrestha and Indian ambassador to Nepal Rajit Rae amid a function Friday.Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Minister Shrestha said, "We are very happy and fully support Apollo Hospital's initiatives. We hope that the center would be able to cater to the need of the people, especially those living in interior and far-flung areas."
Speaking at the function, Ambassador Rae said that this initiative of the hospital will help strengthen relationship of Nepal and India simultaneously by helping medical treatment for those in need.
Likewise, Managing Director of Apollo Hospital, Delhi, Jaideep Gupta said the information center is another service oriented venture launched with the objectives to facilitate health related information to the patients in Nepal.
"This technology lessen the inconvenience and cost of patient transfer but will also help reduce unnecessary travel time for health professionals to multiplex their services beyond boundaries there by improving efficiency and reducing cost," reads a press release issued by the hospital on Friday.
The Apollo Hospital Group, the first corporate hospital of India, has 61 hospitals, 1517 pharmacies and 102 diagnostic clinis, one medical college, eight nursing schools, 2 management institutions and one physiotherapy college.
