KATHMANDU, Oct 2: A team of the Armed Police Force (APF), Saptari, has rescued an Indian national from Saptari district.
Acting on a tip-off, the APF team led by Inspector Lal Bahadur Khadka rescued Shankar Kumar Sah of Laukaha in Madhubani, Bihar State of India, who was found abandoned with his feet bound by iron chains in a bush at Bihul Rural Municipality-5 in Saptari district along the Nepal-India border, said Deputy Superintendent, APF, Raju Shrestha.
A group of unidentified people might have abducted and abandoned Sah in the no man’s land, said the police. The APF also recovered a mobile phone from the incident site, said Shrestha, adding that Sah has been handed over to the District Police Office.
