Kathmandu, Oct 13: Acting Head Constable of Armed Police Force (APF) Naresh Singh Sahu, who is working with the APF Number 44 Battalion in Darchula, has been cleared of the charges against him. He was jailed to cover up misdeeds of APF 44 Battalion Commander SP Tribhuvan Bista.
The APF has informed Republica that a case was registered against Sahu at the Special Court of the Armed Police Force by the Armed Police Headquarters on charge of leaking information to the media about the irregularity made by the Battalion Commander Bista in ration procurement.
The constable was sent to jail for extradition under special laws. He was released from custody after the charges against him were not proved.
