ANTA conference to be held in May

KATHMANDU, April 28: The conference of the US-based Association of Nepali Terain in America(ANTA) is set to begin from May 26 in New Jersey , USA.

The conference will end on May 28. Organizing Committee has been formed to assign different members different responsibilities for making the conference a success, ANTA Interim Board Secretary Arbinda Singh told Republica Online. 

“Peace and Prosperity for Madhes” will be the main slogan of the conference of which preparations are being made in the full swing, according to Singh.

 Different scholars will present a paper on the theme of the preservation and promotion of Madhesi culture, language and traditions and the modalities of development appropriate for Nepal at the conference.

Representatives of people belonging to Madhesi community living in different states of the US will attend the conference and elect a new leadership for the next two years.

Nepal’s Ambassador to USA, high level officials of Nepalese Embassy in USA, representatives of various organizations formed by Nepalis living in the USA and some representatives from Nepal will also attend the conference.
