Active Women of Nepal (AWON) Bazaar, one of the events organized by AWON, will be held at The Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu on November 27.
“The AWON Bazaar is one of the biggest fundraisers, where we do our best to promote local products and serve as a bridge between the vendors and clients to build a connection,” the statement quoted Baba Sarkar Shrestha, President of AWON as saying. The event will have various stalls including indigenous goods such as shawls, carpets, handicrafts, clothes, jewelry, soaps, food items, etc.
According to the statement, the funds generated from this bazaar will go towards scholarships for a total of 85 children. AWON has been supporting students of various schools such as Disable Service Association Bungamati, Kopila Nepal, Children Care Club, Kanya School Bhaktapur, Gyan Bikas Primary School Bode, etc in terms of uniform, books, and stationeries for a long time.
