KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The All Nepal National Independent Students Union, Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), the student’s wing of the CPN (Maoist Center) has taken the responsibility of the vandalism that took place in the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University on Tuesday. 

Dr. Achyut Bhatta, the coordinator of the ANNFSU-R, KU, said that the VC Office has been vandalized as part of action for admitting MBBS students not on the merit basis and taking fee at random. 

Meanwhile, the ANNFSU has accused the university administration of monopolizing academic affairs in cahoots with the private colleges.

Even though the Ministry of Education had fixed the fee structure ruling that the students should be enrolled on the merit basis last year, the colleges have been flouting rules.
