KATHMANDU, Oct 9: All three key advisers of Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli have tested negative for the COVID-19 in less than a week after they were diagnosed with the infection of this virus.

According to Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa, he along with Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal and Foreign Affairs Advisor Rajan Bhattarai tested negative for the virus in a recent PCR test conducted for the COVID-19. “The test result of the contact tracing of our family members has also come out negative. We have been able to conquer COVID-19 in less than seven days [of the infection],” said Thapa.
Thapa, Rimal and Bhattarai were tested positive for the COVID-19 along with a number of other staff including 74 security personnel deployed at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Baluwatar a week ago. While the prime minister's key aides stayed in home isolation, all the security personnel deployed there were replaced after majority of them were tested positive for the virus.
