All services except emergency closed in Kavre

KAVRE, Feb 22: All but emergency services have remained closed at health institutions in Kavre District for the past four days after the health workers began sit-in protest. 

The health workers in the district started the protest demanding postings as per the Article 9 'B' of the Health Services Act-2053 BS. 

Kavre Chairman of National Health Workers' Association, Purushottam Sapkota, said that health workers across the nation have been launching agitation for the past two months, demanding implementation of the Act. 

All the health services would be closed if the demands of the health workers are not addressed immediately. 

Janardan Neupane, statistics officer of the District Public Health Office, said that even administrative activities of the office have been affected due to the agitation. RSS
