All citizens will be vaccinated against COVID-19 by mid-May: PM

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government has a plan to vaccinate everyone against COVID-19 by mid-May.

Speaking at the Hem-Sunil Risky Television Journalism Award Ceremony on Thursday, Prime Minister Deuba lamented that the dangerous form of COVID-19 pandemic had its presence in Nepal but some people were still unaware of it.

PM Deuba said that the government was ready to work toward making Nepal's journalism world more developed, professional and prosperous. Stating that there is freedom of press in Nepal, he said that the government wants all media to be independent based on investigative and factual information.

PM Deuba also said that the government was ready to provide necessary assistance to make the world of journalism more developed, professional and prosperous while protecting the freedom of press and ideas guaranteed by the constitution of Nepal.
