MUGU, July 9: Air service resumed at Rara Airport in Mugu from today. The flights, which were halted for seven days due to incessant rainfall, have now resumed.

According to Krishna Rijal, chief of Rara Civil Aviation Office, Summit Air and Tara Air resumed their service after some improvements in the weather. Passengers had been stranded in Mugu due to cancellation of flights due to bad weather.

Air service was disrupted by heavy fog in Karnali and the Himalayan districts of Sudurpaschim province due to incessant rain for the past one week.

Naula Singh Nepali, a resident from Gadhimai, Chhayanath Rara Municipality, said, "If we travel by road, the road is damaged, and the air service does not operate. I have been preparing to go to Surkhet for seven days. Today, the weather has improved, and I am happy to be able to travel by plane."
