AHTB raids Association of Music Industries Nepal

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau (AHTB) of Nepal Police raided the Association of Music Industries Nepal (AMIN), located in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, on Wednesday morning.

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau (AHTB) of Nepal Police raided the Association of Music Industries Nepal (AMIN), located in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, on Wednesday morning.


According to Om Rana, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of AHTB, police raided the music industry office on the information received that AMIN is involved in producing  fake artists for the purpose of sending them abroad.

A police team reached the AMIN and seized some documents and computers. Police had received the information that Surya Bahadur Magar, chairman of AMIN, was involved in producing fake artists and sending them abroad. The office  used to seek Rs 200,000 for processing documents and Rs 2 million after the granting of the visa.


SSP Rana said that the raid was conducted with the help of the office-bearers of AMIN.
