Lawyers have been staging protests for the past two weeks demanding immediate resignation of Chief Justice Rana at the call of the Nepal Bar Association (NBA), the umbrella organization of lawyers across the country.
The agitating lawyers had earlier announced to stop Chief Justice Rana from entering the office on Friday as a part of their ongoing protest. Chief Justice Rana, however, entered the court from the exit gate amidst the protest of the agitating lawyers. He was safely escorted by police.
