It is never too late to chase your dreams. And Veteran actor Karishma Manandhar is one such example who is pursuing her dream for higher education, even in her forties. Proving that age is just a number 45-year-old Karishma appeared in Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year began on Sunday.

She is a student at Triveni Public Boarding School, Maitidevi and she is participating for SEE at Vijaya Memorial Secondary School, Dillibazar. “Age is just a number, if you have the zeal to be on the top. If you have enthusiasm like me, you can follow any of your dreams in life. And even if it is passing SEE in my age,” Karishma told My City.

However, she lamented that people are questioning about her enrollment in school at this age. “People are blaming that I went school for publicity. Isn’t it baseless allegation toward me?  Since I’ve already that fame and popularity while doing a film, why should I join a school for publicity?” She added.

Karishma who says her first exam for SEE went well; she is a normal student at studies. “I’m not a brilliant student but I am determined to pass my SEE. And I am preparing for the rest of the subjects. To stay focus, I even switched off my cell phone.”

At the age of 14, she stepped into Nepali silver screen. She ruled Nepali film industry for more than three decades.  She discontinued her formal education after grade seven as she stepped into Nepali film fraternity.  Lately, she realized the value of education as she enrolled in politics from Naya Sakti Party as per Karishma.
