KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The National Federation of Nepali Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) has announced that advance bus ticket booking will open from September 23, keeping in view of the Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.
FNNTE typically opens advance ticket booking for long-distance travel 15 days before Dashain.

Meanwhile, air travelers have already begun booking tickets in advance for Dashain. Although airlines do not officially open advance bookings for Dashain, passengers have started booking tickets early, fearing a shortage and rising airfares.
The Department of Transport Management coordinates with transport entrepreneurs every year to facilitate the opening of advance ticket bookings.
