KATHAMDNU, Nov 4: Adarsh Youth Club registered a 2-0 win over Tekanpur Youth Club on Friday in the Third TAAN Martyrs Memorial Footbal Competition 2016 being held at Baruneshwar in Okhaldhunga.
Arjun Rai put Adarsh ahead in the 41st minute and Jagat Rai doubled the advantage three minutes later.
Earlier, in the inaugural match played on Thursday, Rumjatar United defeated Parijat Youth Club 3-0.
Rishi Gurung, Deepak Gurung and Bikram Nepali were on target for the winning team.
The tournament being organized by Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) sees participation of 14 teams from Okhaldhunga district.
The top three finishers of the event being organized in knockout format will walk home with purse of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively along with trophies, medals and certificates.
