TAPLEJUNG, March 28: As many as 89,680 voters above the age of 18 have been registered in Taplejung district for the upcoming local-level elections to be held on May 13, 2022. The number of voters has increased by 18,902 compared to the election of 2017. As many as 70,778 voters were registered in 2017 in the district.


According to the Election Office of Taplejung, the district has registered 47,655 male and 42,025 female voters.

Similarly, the local authorities have allocated 17 additional voting centers compared to the election of 2017. Although the number of voters has increased by over 18,000, the number of voting centers has been increased by just 17. 


A total of 122 voting centers will be set up for the upcoming local level elections in the district.
