Abdul Khan of Janamat part elected unopposed as chairman of Industry Committee

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Janamat Party's Abdul Khan has been elected unopposed as the chairman of the Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Interest Committee of the House of Representatives after Ganesh Parajuli, a member of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), withdrew his candidacy.

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Janamat Party's Abdul Khan has been elected unopposed as the chairman of the Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Interest Committee of the House of Representatives after Ganesh Parajuli, a member of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), withdrew his candidacy.

In today's meeting of the committee, RSP candidate Parajuli withdrew his candidature and said that he supported Khan. Ranendra Baraili, the senior-most member of the committee, announced that Khan had been elected unopposed as the chairman of the committee.


Khan, who had asked the RSP candidate to withdraw his candidature, said he will work for the welfare of people of minority groups and requested to vote in favor of him as the chairman.
