Abducted girl rescued

BIRGUNJ, July 10: A team of Armed Police Force (APF) rescued Isha Bhattarai , a student of Kathmandu’s Padma Kanya College who was abducted on Thursday.



She was rescued from a passenger bus during the routine checking by APF at Amlekhagunj of Bara. She cried after seeing the policemen while the abductors fled the scene.



Bhattarai, daughter of Shesh Raj Bhattarai of Gaurigunj, Jhapa, was abducted by two unidentified abductors traveling on a van.



Bhattarai said she did not remember how she was abducted and why she was on the bus, according to police inspector Uttam Karki. She was studying at intermediate level at the campus.
