NAWALPARASI, Jan 15 : A seven-year-old boy from India who was abducted from the Nepal-India border has been rescued safely.
Ayush Nigam was rescued on Saturday night with the joint initiatives of the Nepali Police and Indian Police. He was rescued from a forest area at Balmeeki Nagar, Bihar of India.
The boy was kidnapped for ransom by some assailants last Thursday from Thuthibari on the Nepal – India border in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta west) district.
It is said that the abductors had been demanding Rs 10 million ransom with the boy's father, Bablu Nigam.
Four people have been arrested for the abduction. One of those arrested is a Nepali national while the rest are Indian citizens. All are in the custody of Indian Police at present.(RSS)
