KATHMANDU, March 20: Subash Chandra Nembang, vice-chairperson of the main opposition party CPN-UML, has remarked that the leaders who have left the party are now scared as the local level election is nearing. He seemed assured that the UML would be the first party in the upcoming election.

At a UML assembly held in Ilam Constituency No. 1, Nembang spent a lot of time criticizing former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, who won the House of Representatives election from the same constituency without mentioning his name.

Leader Nembang complained that Khanal and others, who had won the election from UML, betrayed the party as well as their voters and brought the opposition to power. “They have betrayed the party as well as you voters and helped the opposition party to form the current government,” said Nembang.

According to Nembang, Khanal could not say that the work done by the KP Oli-led government was good. "The leaders only made comments such as Dharahara, Ranipokhari were made by engineers but could not praise the good works done by the party when it was in the government,” Nembang remarked on Khanal's old statement.
