Shine and Clean has been providing unique service where they can actually visit your doorsteps and clean your carpets with 80 percent lesser water than that you would use in doing so. The best part of this service is that your products won’t be damaged.

Shine and Clean is a Lalitpur-based deep cleaning company which delivers its services at   the doorsteps of the clients. It is a business initiation of Nipen Wong Lama and Nanucha Maharajan. The venture officially started on February 28, 2018. Lama and Maharjan were operating a similar type of business with the name ‘Shine Cleaning’.  Speaking about the reason to establish Shine and Clean co-founder and CEO of the company, Lama said, “Me and Nanucha were involved in this business form the past six years. So we thought its high time gave a new structure to our business by digitalizing it.” Apart from carpets, they clean other materials like car seats, renovate damaged parquets, and polish old marbles amongst others. 

The company receives orders through calls, direct messages on social media and emails. After attending to the calls, the company representatives visit the client’s house and checks the extent to which the services are to be rendered. If necessary, the cleaning date is fixed. Unlike to normal cleaning, the venture uses two different types of machines named ‘Scrubber Machine’ and ‘Puzzi Machine’. 

Scrubber Machine is used to create foam and to scrub the carpets. The machine gently scrubs the carpet without any damage. Then Puzzi Machine then sucks the entire water from the carpet. Likewise, marvel and parquets are also cleaned through technology taking much less time than normal cleaning. “Though we provide keen service to our clients, our customers are still unaware about our existence which is the biggest problem for our venture. However, digitalization of our venture has increased the number of our clients by almost 50 percent,” said Lama. 

The venture is looking forward to expanding their business in other major cities of the country. Lama informed that they are planning to operate outlets in Nepalgunj and Butwal by this year. Further explaining about his future plans, he added, “Orders are increasing massively. So we are looking to launch a mobile app as well.”
