KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Following daily spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, the three district administrations have enforced a week-long lockdown in Kathmandu Valley from Wednesday midnight.
In a bid to control further transmission of the virus, the district administration offices issued a prohibitory order which will remain into effect till Aug 26.
The three districts in Kathmandu Valley have recorded more than 1000 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease in just one week.
The movements of people and vehicles have been completely restricted except for the supplies of essential and those belonging to essential services during this period.
