BIRGUNJ, Aug 5: Parsa has reported one more COVID-19 related death on Wednesday morning.
An 18-year-old girl from Pokhariya Municipality-9 died while being rushed to the National Medical College, Birgunj, after she vomited repeatedly on Tuesday night. Her throat swab was collected and sent for PCR test at the Narayani Hospital.
"Her throat swab came out positive for COVID-19 last night," Dr Madan Upadhyay, the Medical Superintendent at the hospital said. With this, the country's coronavirus death toll has risen to 59.
Parsa district alone has witnessed 13 COVID-19 related deaths in the past three weeks.
