KATHMANDU, July 30: Bibeksheel Nepali Party has demanded that the Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Health and Population apologize with "Enough is Enough" campaigners, and step down from their ministerial posts.

Issuing a press statement, the party said that five campaigners on Wednesday were forcefully arrested by police in Singhadurbar. "The campaigners were waiting at the Southern gate for entry passes to go to the Home Ministry to file a Right to Information (RTI) petition. They [campaigners] were also harassed by the police at the Mahendra Police Club," reads the statement.

It has also demanded the National Human Rights Commission investigate the incident.

When Pukar Bam and 'Iih' were in the hunger strike last month, the health minister reached a 12-point agreement to fulfill the demands presented by the campaigners. "The demands are yet to be fulfilled, so the health minister should also step down," the statement adds.
