KATHMANDU, June 20: A group of youths took to the streets in the capital city on Saturday morning to exert pressure on the government for reforms in the medical sector.
The protest was organized at Sahid Gate area in the capital to raise voice against the government’s continued apathy toward their demands for reforms in the country’s health sector.
The agitating youths lay prostrate on the street with placards as a part of their demonstration named ‘lying down against lies’. The demands put forth by them include ensuring 100 percent PCR tests for COVID-19 diagnosis, setting up safe and dignified quarantine facilities and maintaining transparency in all the expenditure related to COVID-19 response activities.
