KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Deliberations on the impeachment motion filed against suspended CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki continued in the Legislature-Parliament on Friday. Lawmakers from various political parties said that the impeachment motion should be endorsed by the House.

Alleging Karki of insulting the parliamentary committee, contempt of court, disobeying the people's representative body and of giving psychological torture to employees and terrorizing the public which compelled the lawmakers to move a motion of impeachment against him.

Karki has to face the impeachment motion for running a 'parallel government' and neglecting the presence of the parliamentary committee.

In the impeachment motion, suspended CIAA Chief Karki has been accused of directing the Tribhuvan University to take official action against some doctors in accordance with the provisions of the Interim Constitution even after the promulgation of the new constitution.
