KATHMANDU, March 13: The government on Thursday said that it will enforce a lockdown in any area that is found affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Organizing a press meet at the Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday, spokesperson Bikash Devkota informed that the government plans to put any pocket area affected by COVID-19 under a lockdown.
“Any particular community, settlement, village, local unit, district and even province can be declared a pocket area if the virus is reported there. During a lockdown, import and export of goods will not be allowed except for the emergency items,” said Devkota adding that land border points of the country will also be closed.
