‘Protest might be flexible if reliable environment created’

KATHMANDU, Dec 20: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal chair Upendra Yadav has said that two kinds of extremism have created hindrances to sort out the problem in the Tarai.

Speaking at a face-to-face program here in the capital today organized by the Reporters' Club Nepal, leader Yadav said that the one extremist thought was the ongoing protest was nothing and another that was of the protest was against Kathmandu and hilly people.


He further said that the talks held with Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala on Saturday were positive and they could be flexible if the bases for assuring to revise delineation of the provinces were guaranteed.

Yadav added that the current problem as a result of the neglect of the past agreements by the big parties. He further claimed that the ongoing protest would not end with due promises. He blamed the government for not responding to their demands though 128 days were passed.

On the occasion leader Yadav condemned the Janakpur incident where the cadres of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front had purified the premises of Janaki Temple, following visit by President Bidya Devi Bhandari. RSS
