KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Various political party leaders have expressed different views regarding the impeachment motion against CIAA chief, Lokman Singh Karki. 

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Pashupati Shamsher Rana has said that his party will take an official decision on impeachment motion against Karki, after holding the intra-party discussions. 

Speaking in an interaction program at Reporters Club here on Thursday, he said that there was no hurry to forward the motion as the case that challenged his appointment was sub judice in the court. 

Similarly, CPN-UML leader Shankar Pokharel said that the impeachment motion was moved against Karki as he practiced a parallel government. He claimed that the latest political developments would help political parties find an agreement on the issues of national importance. 

Speaking at the same program, Nepali Congress leader Deepak Khadka expressed suspicion over the impeachment motion saying that his party would make an official decision only after the decision of the impeachment recommendation committee to this end. 

Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal chief whip Dilanath Giri shared that his party would make a decision regarding the impeachment motion, after party chair Kamal Thapa returns home from a foreign trip. 

CPN (Maoist Center) leader Mani Thapa asked NC for support to pass the impeachment motion, accepting that there were some technical errors while introducing it to the House.RSS
