Nine SAG medals for Nepal in cycling including four gold

KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Nepal has bagged a total of nine medals including four gold medals in cycling. 

A gold medal has been added to medal tally following the victory of Buddhi Bahadur Tamang in Men's Cross-country Olympics at Gokarna on Thursday. 

Similarly, Tamang's compatriot Rajiv Raj and Okesh Raj Bajracharya won silver and bronze respectively. 

Earlier, Laxmi Magar clinched a gold medal in cross-country cycling at the 13th South Asian Games. In the competition held at Gokarna, Kathmandu on Thursday morning, Magar defeated her compatriot Usha Khanal (silver) and India's Pranita Prafull (bronze). 

Earlier on Wednesday, Nepal won five medals in cycling including two golds. Rajesh Magar and Nishma Shrestha bagged a gold each in downhill. Similarly, Nirabh Shrestha and Jamuna Thapa clinched silver for Nepal.
